The one thing I hate about watching MTV in the US is that you no longer get hours upon hours of cool music videos - you just get 'stupid people doing stupid shit' shows and the same tired rock/rap videos. So forgive me if you've already heard of this Gnarls Barkley guy (group?), but I've recently discovered his music in the past few weeks, and I like what I hear. And now that I've seen some of his videos, I also like what I see. The guy can be disturbing at times, but he's definitely creative. Here's a couple of them to give you an idea -
wepa_woman, you'll probably really like the second one ;)
Gone, Daddy Gone - Gnarls Barkely

So Mr.Depp had to do a press junket in Japan to promote the third installment of Pirates. What he didn't realize is that this is not your boring run of the mill interview. I'm not sure what's more entertaining, how amazingly talented these kids are, or Johnny's reaction to them. Check it out: http://www.japanprobe.com/?p=1947

Perusing one of my favourite sites, Fark, led me to this interesting LJ entry by
goldsfool which asks a simple question:
If you could pick one song for aliens to stumble upon, what song would you choose?
The answers given in the comments range from lame, to thought provoking, to hella funny.
So riddle me this, what would your song be?

I gave up Eve yesterday morning to this woman who runs a pet adoption organization out of the Corona Petco. The organization's name is "Zara's List", and their motto is "Schindler had his list, I have mine." So yeah, I'm not worried about Eve. Lets hope some nice old lady picks her up and gives her a good home.
Also, take note of the theme change which has nothing whatsoever to do with giving up my cat. O-kayyy.

I highlighted my hair because I (with Mr. Hedberg) feel that some strands are more important than others. Also, because it looks good with my tan.
End Transmission.

Yesterday when I was five = Sometime in the past, be it yesterday or last year.
Shut your yappin' yappin'! = Please be quiet, your constant chatter is distracting.
Calafungaaa! = A victory/war cry, usually uttered in excitement. I believe it's a bastardization of "Cowabunga!" but my nephew insists that it is not.

Having dinner at an upscale beachside restaurant in Juan Les Pins and watching my sister wash the sand off her kids hands with a bottle of Evian water made me realize just how fucking spoilt we are.

I finished my second exam today. I was feeling "of delicate constitution" as
wepa_woman would put and had to run to the bathroom in the middle of taking my exam. I have reached a new low.
Also: it'sjust impossible for me to type more than 6 pages in 3 hours. I cant do it. I'm gonna be genuinely surprised if I pass.
Also: if I fail, I'm thinking of just giving up and going home - I've already talked to my mom about this and she was all for it.
And one more thing: thanks for all your support folks, you're good people.

It's 4 am and my exam is at 1pm today. I've been trying to make sense of my notes all day and after 15 hours of looking them over and typing out a ten page outline, I still don't think I managed to answer the psuedo-exam prompt that prof T gave me in our last meeting.
Yeah, I don't think I'm gonna pass this one.
God I'm so tired.

Just thought I'd drop a line to the folks out there about a new LJ in the neighborhood belonging to my good friend Bronx. Going by the title
wepa_woman, she's just started The Lost Season 2 Wepa Awards and it looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. Don't hesitate to stop by and say hello!
